1)Aparência: HPMC é um éter de celulose não iônico, pó ou grânulo branco acinzentado, inodoro e insípido,

solúvel em água fria, ácido acético glacial, etanol, metanol e propilenoglicol, ligeiramente solúvel em acetona dependendo

no grau de substituições, praticamente insolúvel em água quente, etilenoglicol e tolueno. HPMC é dissolvido em um

mistura de 10% de metanol e 90% de cloreto de metileno para formar soluções coloidais.

2) A solução de HPMC possui atividade superficial, alta transparência e desempenho estável. Quando aquecido a certa

temperatura, a solução torna-se turva ou forma gel floculento. No entanto, a solução torna-se novamente límpida após o arrefecimento.

Diferentes tipos de HPMC têm diferentes temperaturas de gelificação. A solubilidade varia com a viscosidade. Quanto mais baixo

viscosidade, maior será a solubilidade. Os diferentes tipos de HPMC são diferentes em algumas propriedades e na sua solubilidade em

a água não é afetada pelo pH.
